I was born in San Francisco at Kaiser Hospital on January 14, 1974 at 4:18pm. My Mom is an adventurous spirit and worked for Pan Am for 25 years and I was her constant traveling companion. By the time I was 14 years old, I visited Jordan, Korea, former Yugoslavia, East and West Berlin and most of Western Europe. My parents were born in Honolulu and we visited family there four times per year.

My older brother Randy is a prodigious piano player who played for Queen Noor of Jordan when he was 17 years old. At 19 he sold out Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco. My Dad is an extremely meticulous craftsman and photographer and I would always observe the makings of his creations in his garage workshop.

I started out as a painter in my pre-teens and eventually in my 20’s documented my travels with journal writing, photography, painting and illustration. I worked as a travel agent with STA Travel in Seattle, San Francisco, London and Edinburgh.  I jumped into the theatre world in Vermont and New York City and I became a Props Master Off Broadway. I continued my props building techniques at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. I painted all of the vibrator props in The Vibrator Play, which went on to Broadway in New York and was nominated for 3 Emmy Awards.

So far I have visited 33 countries. Amongst all my travels I started collecting found objects, earth and random relics. I am an internationally recognized Assemblage Artist and I am represented by Strychnin Gallery Berlin/London/New York. My signature Introversion Boxes have been displayed in galleries, museums and art fairs in Germany, Italy, Denmark, Belgium, France, United Kingdom and United States.

My most recent project was an art installation in a former prison in Florence, Italy. I worked with the theme “What would my life as an artist be like in 2048″. This project was at Ex Carcere Le Murate and was part of the Festival della Creativita, October 21-24, 2010.

My favorite book is The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. My favorite documentary is The Cats of Mirikitani. One of my favorite movies is The Lives of Others. The number 1912 appears in my life all the time.

I have lived in Oakland, San Diego, Seattle, New York, Vermont, Berkeley, San Francisco and now back in my adopted home of Seattle.  I travel for my art projects around the world and I am a fly-in technician for Cirque du Soleil.
